| Estar Cohen, singer/songwriter and sister of Toledo's voted best female vocalist Sarah Cohen, teams up with local musician, Corey Howe, to create the indie pop sensation that is Estar Cohen & The Power of the Plume. Backed by her brother on percussion, the band hits the Toledo music scene, but not for the first time. Ms. Cohen has had much experience performing her music, often playing around the Toledo area and recently running a weekly open mic with her sister at Caffeini's Coffee. She has also performed with her dream pop project, Radio Free Roscoe, being on the bill of local shows like the Toledo Indie Pop Fest and and at venues like The Happy Badger. Estar Cohen & The Power of the Plume explores a melodiously haunting sound, the pairing of Estar Cohen and Corey Howe creating entrancing harmonies, enabling the listener to soar through each song, an undeniable sense of empathy seeping through the lyrics of Ms. Cohen. There is an evident stage presence brought forth with the band. With every passing note, Estar has the ability to make her music true, speaking and singing directly from the heart, captivating audiences.
