| Band Biography: | |
| In late April, 2008, a man had a small dream. This dream was plain and simple: start a psychedelic rock group. He approached a fellow jazz musician to a spot in the group as an organ player. This boy gladly accepted and history was made. Small jam sessions occurred between the two with other temporary musicians until late June of 2008, a full time line up needed to be established. A fellow classmate and drummer had the talent and took the spot, while the unicorn-phased boy had switched from organ to mostly bass and da' papa man had continued on guitar. History was made in early July when a rough demo was recorded of two songs written by Mr. Bean, and a successful band practice ended with a promising look in the future. A boy with the ability to read was offered the spot of lead singer, and eventually accepted, making a dramatic change of genres from the previous classic rock cover band he was a part of. Several months of nonstop dedicated songwriting and practice has finally paid off. Beginning to get a following and play local venues, it seems GAZEBO has established their 'sound'. With driving bass lines, progressive drum beats, and spine-tingling guitar solos, the band can only be topped off with the smooth yet powerful poetic lyrics. It seems this showy art-rock group combines elements of jazz, progressive rock, and psychedelia that can only be described as GAZEBO. Gazebo has been around for over a year and consists of all classically trained musicians. This professional band is reminiscent of bands from the 60's and 70's, bringing back retro sounds and looks. Live, they give an energetic face-melting show. Although we are in the pop/rock category our music is more of a psychedelic, jam, heavy rock sound. Please do not rate us poorly saying we don't fit into the pop/rock category! It is the category which fits us best! We'd appreciate your vote! |
